We bring the text of one of Imam's speeches in this regard as following:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
It is one of the blessings of Islam that we have come together. I hope that we can appreciate this gift and serve mankind, the oppressed people, especially Muslims. I beseech God that this Unity Week which was designated in Iran will go on for years and centuries. I hope that we will be under the banner of unity that was the epigraph of the call of prophets. I hope that we will overcome all our problems.
All the gentlemen know that the problems of Muslims stem from dispute among themselves which causes different groups oppose one another. Islam is against difference and calls for unity of expression. Islam signifies submission to Truth.
I implore God to bless this happy feast for all Muslims. It will be blessed when all Muslims get serious about performing their duties, when all heads of states, spiritual leaders and intellectuals try to realize the aspirations of Islam, and steps are taken to serve Islam until what God has wanted from the clergies is realized.
I congratulate all Muslims, especially you the clergies, on the occasion of this blessed day. God willing, the day when we gather together around Aqsa Mosque and pray there will be a blessed one.
One of the `Arab-speaking guests spoke and then the Imam said:
God willing, you are successful. We are for Islam; whatever we have is from Islam. We are all brothers and should treat each other amicably. We should all be mujahidin) holy fighters (for Islam. Everyone within his capacity should make an effort till all the problems of Muslims are resolved
in all countries including Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and all other countries with the effort of the clergies and thinkers.
May God's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you.
