I said to Imam Khomeini, “Your Eminence, many of the families who have remained in the bombed areas—even those who have lost several family members—still have affection for the Revolution.
They continue to express their support and say, ‘We are prepared to stand firm and resist until our last breath.’ But, well, you also have a responsibility toward them. This is either what they express in words or what they feel in their hearts.”
Imam said:“They are telling the truth. They have a great right over us.”
As he said this, his tears began to flow, and he wept deeply.
