Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has underlined the Iranian nation’s unwavering strength to resist those trying to impose on it and fight in defense of its homeland.
The top diplomat made the remarks in a social media post on Sunday, a day after attending the funeral of those martyred during the recent unprovoked US-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic.
“Until the Last Drop of Blood, the Powerful and Resilient Iranian Nation will Resist whoever attempts to decide OUR destiny,” he wrote.
The funeral took place in capital Tehran for 60 nuclear scientists, military commanders, and civilians, who lost their lives during 12 days of attacks by the regime that enjoyed unprecedented military and intelligence support on the part of the United States.
Araghchi lambasted the “cowardly” regime for murdering the victims, who were among the 600-plus martyrs of the assaults.
‘Unlike feeble Israel, we don’t hide our losses’
The official, meanwhile, hailed “the Wave after Wave of Patriots, who took to the streets to honor” the martyrs.
He underscored that unlike the “feeble” Israeli regime, “we don’t hide our losses,” referring to Tel Aviv’s feverish efforts at stifling coverage of the aftermath of the heavy Iranian retaliation that ensued the regime’s attacks.
“We are PROUD of our MARTYRS, who are our role models.”
‘Every lost dignitary to be replaced a hundredfold’
According to the official, the country would make up for the wartime human and material losses, emerging even far stronger.
“For every fallen officer or scientist, Rest Assured 100 More Are Lining Up To Take Their Places,” the foreign minister added.
On the same day as that of the funeral, he had also addressed the nation in an Instagram post, saying the country would recover the damage, restoring the affected facilities so they would look even more formidable.
‘Iranians gave blood, but didn’t give up land’
In that post, Araghchi had additionally underscored how the Iranian people and their armed forces stood up, throughout the war, to two nuclear-armed regimes.
The nation, he wrote, withstood multi-thousand-ton bombs during the course of the aggression, but still stood firm and did not surrender.
“It will go down in history that the Iranians gave their blood but never their land,” the official noted, asserting that the country essentially “knows nothing of the word ‘submission.’”
