Seyyed Hassan Khomeini highlights Gaza sufferings during Nowruz ceremony at Imam's shrine

Addressing a massive ceremony held to mark new Persian year, the grandson of founder of Islamic Republic has highlighted sufferings of Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.

A massive ceremony to mark the beginning of new Persian year  has been held at the holy mausoleum of Imam Khomeini. 

The ceremony was attended by several university and seminary figures and people from various walks of life.

Addressing the spiritual gathering, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic, said that believers shout put their deep trust in God the Almighty. 

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini has had paid a constant attention towards God, the Almighty.

Religious scholars maintain that Imam’s greatest capital was his attention and reliance on God. 

Seyyed Hassan Khomeini made remarks during a ceremony held at Imam Khomeini holy shrine which is located on the outskirts of the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Muslim scholar said that the real Eid cannot be celebrated when we are witnessing and mourning the victims of the ongling Israeli brutal military campaign in Gaza. 

He further said that the entire world is watching that the Israeli regime authorities are violating all existing international laws and norms and are not abiding by any humanitarian law in Gaza.

Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said that Israel was using starvation as weapon against Gaza where Palestinians are facing a looming famine. 

This comes as millions of people in Iran and some other parts of the world are celebrating the Persian New Year or Nowruz, which marks the advent of spring.

The Nowruz festivities always begin on the first day of spring, which has fallen on March 20 this year.

 Along with Iranians, millions of others in countries such as Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Turkey also celebrate Nowruz, in harmony with the rebirth of nature.  

Imam’s holy shrine, which hosts a large number of pilgrims and tourists during this period, has organized several cultural, religious and spiritual events for the upcoming weeks. 

It is noteworthy that Imam Khomeini, the world relgious and spiritual leader in his messages and speeches put emphasis on prompting divine values and spiritual perspectives of Nowruz. 

Imam Khomeini recommended reciting the holy Quran and supplications by the holy prophet of Islam and his infallible successors, and extending help for needy and oppressed people during Nowruz.
