The Imam had great respect for the status of women. For instance all his daughters-in-law and grandchildren enjoyed autonomy. For instance, from among the women of his household, his daughter Ms. Mostafawi was the head of the Women’s Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the Imam’s lifetime.
