We are on the eve of the martyrdom of Ali ibn Musa ar-Riḍa (PBUH), the eighth infallible successor of the holy prophet, who rendered great services to shied genuine Islamic teachings at a sensitive juncture of the Islamic history
Various events which occurred in Ma’mun’s era confirmed that Imam al-Ridha’s popularity was growing, despite Ma’mun’s ardent efforts to counter that growth. Many of the Abbasids feared that granting Wilayat al-Ahd to Imam al-Ridha would remove the Abbasids from power indefinitely. What magnified Ma’mun’s worries was the revolt of some Abbasids back in the traditional capital – Baghdad – against him. These factors led Ma’mun in a decision to rid himself of his worry. Thus, the Abbasid ruler Ma’mun decided to have the holy eighth Imam poisoned.
Imam ‘Ali al-Ridha was buried in Tus, present-day Mashhad, Iran. His mausoleum is now a center to which millions of devotees flock every year.
Ibrahim ibn al-Abbas narrated,
‘I have never seen Abu al-Hasan al-Rida hurt anybody with something he said, nor have I ever seen him interrupt anyone until he had finished, nor refuse someone a favor that he was able to do, or did he ever stretch his legs before anyone sitting with him, nor lean against something while his companion did not, nor did he ever insult any of his servants or workers. And I have never seen him spit or burst into laughter; rather, his laughter was just a smile. When he was ready to eat and the table had been laid, he seated with him at the table all his servants, including the doorman and the stable boy.’
On the Sad and Mourning occasion of the passing away anniversary of Holy Prophet of Islam Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa, and martyrdom of two of his infallible successors Imam Hasan Mujtaba, and Imam Reza (peace be upon them) we extend our Heartfelt Grief and Condolences to Muslim Ummah and all the followers of the Holy Ahlul Bayt across the world.

"I saw the Messenger carrying Hosein son of Ali and saying, "O Allah, I love him, so love him," Naysaboori quoted abu-Hazim and abu-Hurayra as saying.
Hakim ascribed this Hadith to abu-Horayra: “The Prophet came out to us with Hasan and Hosein on his shoulders, kissing them alternatively until he came to the point where we were standing; a man then said, “O Messenger of God, do you love them? He replied, “Yes, whosoever loves them has loved me and whosoever hates them has hated me".
According to Bin-Abbas: "When the verse, {I do not ask of you a wage for this, except love for the kinsfolk} was revealed, people said, "O Messenger of God, who are those kinsfolk of yours whose love became an obligation upon us? He replied,"Ali, Fatima and their two sons".
According to Ya"la Bin-Morra: "We were in the company of the Messenger and where invited to a meal and there he was Hosein playing in the road, and then the Prophet (PBUH) hurried ahead of us and stretched out his hands putting one under his chin and the other behind the back of his head, embraced and kissed him and said: "Hosein is from me and I am from him; Allah loves whoso loves him; both Hasan and Hosein are of the Asbat (grandsons).
According to Anas: "No one looked more like the Prophet (PBUH) than Hasan son of Ali (PBUH).
