According to Jamran news agency, Ayatollah Hashimzadeh said that Imam Khomeini’s sayings, messages, speeches and works should be understood within certain context.
He also emphasized that all circumstances surrounding Imam Khomeini’s sayings should be fully considered and comprehended.
He made remarks in a special session which was held in the holy city of Qom with the efforts of the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works and was attended by seminary and university intellectuals and scholars.
He also thanked institute for arranging special academic sessions about jurisprudence, academic and scientific ideals of the founder of Imam Khomeini.
Ayatollah Hashimzadeh went onto say that it was not correct to extract a single sentence from Imam’s works without considering the context or interpreting it for personal interests.
The cleric said that Imam’s quotes and sayings have certain circumstances and should be explained by considering those conditions in which those expressions were uttered.
He also advised the preachers and intellectuals to be committed to Imam’s Sahifeh, which is a 22 volume collection of Imam’s messages and speeches delivered on various occasions.
The senior cleric also emphasized on correct understanding of Imam’s work and his divine academic legacy.
It is notable that Imam Khomeini’s has had a well command over several fields and knowledge of disciplines including philosophy, Quranic Interpretation, Hadith mysticism, literature and jurisprudence.
Imam’s academic legacy is increasingly becoming popular among seminary and university scholars equally in various parts of the world.
