The judiciary chief along with senior judicial officials visited Imam Khomeini’s holy shrine which is located on suburbs of Tehran.
They recited verses from the holy book of Quran and showed their respect and allegiance to the ideals of Imam by laying flowers at his holy mausoleum.
Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic was also present at the event.
The authorities also paid visits to mausoleum of Martyr Ayatollah Dr. Sayyid Mohammad Hosseini Beheshti and his colleagues who lost their lives 34 years ago on June 28, 1981 in a bombing by hostile elements. The bomb was planted by the MKO terrorist group, which at that time was involved in a campaign of bombings and assassinations against officials of the Islamic Republic.
Imam Khomeini is considered a unique and matchless divine figure in contemporary history who led the Islamic Revolution and established a modern Islamic-democratic system in 1979.
The Islamic revolution changed balance of power in favor of the Muslim people and the oppressed nations.
