The Imam had a prophet-like attitude towards his household. In the afternoons the Imam’s household including grandchildren, daughters and daughter-in-law would gather and sit round him and engage in such animated conversations, exchange of pleasantries and wisecracks with the Imam that such a state would perhaps seem quite impossible to imagine for a political leader with so much work preoccupation.
On some days I observed that the Imam despite his old age and work preoccupations played with his grandson Ali. The Imam would stand on one side of the room and Ali on the other and play football with him.
Name of the narrator: Sayyid Rahim Mirian (member of the Imam’s household)
