The international department of institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works has set up a special stall where Imam’s works are being displayed and presented in foreign languages.
The works have been classified in various categories. The works are ranged as general and specialized works in various fields. The works are also being presented for the children in separate sections.
A large number of Imam’s books in audio and a comprehensive movie about his biography and events are also among the multimedia items appealing to and attracting the visitors.
Eelier, Iraqi Culture Minister Faryad Rawanduzi has visited the stall as he was briefed about Imam Works which have been translated into to several languages in recent years.
He also noted that Imam’s books are available in Arabic language and are being displayed at exhibitions in the Iraqi capital Baghdad and the holy city Najaf.
The minster, who has well command over some languages, has also studied Imam Khomeini’s works in Persian language as well .
The top Iraqi official also said that Imam Khomeini doesn’t only belong to the Iranian nation, but has been a universal figure who will be remembered by history forever.
On Tuesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani inaugurated the 28th edition of the Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF), where Iranian and foreign publishers offer their latest book titles.
Rouhani participated in the opening ceremony of the TIBF at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Grand Prayer Grounds (Mosalla) on Tuesday.
The fair will be open to the public on Wednesday and run through May 16.
Many high-ranking Iranian authorities, including Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ali Jannati, and foreign ministers and ambassadress took part in the ceremony.
During the inauguration ceremony, President Rouhani emphasized the practice of book-reading and learning as conducive to the finding of peaceful solutions for international crises.
“We should resolve regional and international problems through reading and writing books,” President Rouhani said, adding that books are means of diplomacy and a bond among nations and governments.
The Iranian president said that some Western powers create insecurity in the Middle East to sell more arms to warring sides and bring prosperity to their own countries at the cost of the death of people, including in Iraq, Syria and Yemen.
Some 2,450 Iranian publishers will attend this year’s exhibition, which attracts more than five million visitors every year. Over 2,800 foreign publishers from 65 countries will also be in attendance.
Iranian and foreign publishers will present nearly 300,000 and 165,000 book titles in the fair, respectively.
The book fair is held annually as a social and cultural event with book displays, panel discussions and publishing deals.
The fair is considered the most significant event of its kind in Asia and the Middle East and a major venue for publishers and book lovers to exchange opinions and experiences.
It is noteworthy that Imam Khomeini’s works were widely welcomed at previous international book exhibitions held across in and other counties over the past few years.
Surveys show that the demand for Imam's works is on the rise in the region and several other continents around the globe.
Imam’s dynamic works, speeches and messages will continue to inspire the believers and faithful for the generations to come for next coming decades and centuries.
