The founder of the Islamic Republic had written very deep and insightful books in several fields covering the philosophy, mysticism, poetry and Islamic jurisprudence.
It is worth-mentioning that on different occasions, Imam interpreted the Holy Quran verses and these interpretations have been compiled in five volumes.
This exegesis of the Quranic verses by Imam contains so many niceties and nuances of interpretation. Imam's Exegesis (Tafsir) of the verses of the Holy Quran can be traced in his works like, "Adab-o-Salah", "Sahifah i-Imam", "Kashf al-Asrar", "Sharh i-Dua i-Sahar", "Sharh i-Chehel Hadith", etc.
The department for international affairs of the have participated in several international exhibition with close coordination from some domestic Iranian institutions and Iranian embassy and cultural centers.
Several of Imam Khomeini’s works have been translated into dozens of languages over the some past few years.
In early 1970 Imam Khomeini gave a lecture series in Najaf on Islamic Government which later was published as a book titled variously Islamic Government or Guardianship of the Islamic Jurists (velayat-e faqih). This was his most famous and influential work and laid out his ideas on governance (at that time):
Another famous book, Forty Hadith by Imam Khomeini, the original work in Persian, published several times under the title “Arba’in, ya chihil hadith” was written by Imam al-Khumayni nearly five decades ago and was completed in the month of Muharram 1358 (April-May, 1939).
The manuscript of this work, together with that of two other unpublished works of the author, Sharh Du’ae sahar, and Adab al-salat, were recovered from the library of the late Ayatullah Akhund al-Hamadani. All the three works have now been published.
Several of works left by Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic contain mystical treasures and the great scholar of contemporary era has touched upon on various issues with genuine Islamic approach.
